Work will begin on N-4, east of Davenport

March 19, 2026 (Grand Island, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin March 23 on Nebraska Highway 4 (N-4), from reference post 97.65 to reference post 110.55, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Vontz Paving, Inc., of Hastings, is the contractor for this project. Work includes grading, culverts, pavement repair, seeding, bridge repair, guardrail and bituminous paving. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers, as well as temporary traffic signals. An 11-foot width restriction will be in effect.
Anticipated completion is Nov. 2026.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
