Work will begin on N-2 and N-10

May 2, 2025 (Grand Island, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin May 5 on Nebraska Highway 2 (N-2), from reference post 316+76 to reference post 322+90, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Work will also begin May 5 on Nebraska Highway 10 (N-10), from reference post 84+18 to reference post 84+29.
Werner Construction, of Hastings, is the contractor for this project. Work includes bridge work, guardrail work, concrete repair and asphalt paving. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers, as well as temporary traffic signals at the bridges. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Nov. 2025.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
