Wildcats prepare for 2023-24 Hoops season.

The St. Paul Wildcat Basketball teams begin their respective seasons this Thursday in Gibbon with new faces at the helm. 

Chip Bahe takes over for the Boy's program from Bob Fuller. Bahe is no stranger to coaching in Central Nebraska after tallying 300 wins with stops at Millard North, Omaha South, Lexington, and most recently Grand Island Northwest. Coach Bahe inherits a scrappy Boys squad that was just a win away from the State Tournament last season.

With a promotion to Activities Director over the Summer, Girls Basketball Coach Rob Wegner will move over to assist the Boys Basketball team. With the open vacancy Kevin Brandt takes rein of the girls returning all but one starter. Brandt has 2 Head Coaching stops on his resume at Lyons-Decatur and West Monona(IA).

The KRGI Sports Network will have 9 road double headers plus conference and postseason games this season that you can catch on Country 96.5 FM and krgi.com
