Two Arrested After Pursuit Ends in North Lincoln

March 27, 2025 (Lincoln, Neb.) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested two people Wednesday following a pursuit that ended in Lincoln.
Wednesday afternoon, NSP was informed that the Columbus Police Department had been involved in a short pursuit with a driver known to have an active warrant. The vehicle, a Chrysler Town & Country had fled southbound from the Columbus area and was believed to be headed toward Lincoln.
At approximately 1:45 p.m., a trooper observed a vehicle matching the suspect description. The vehicle was speeding at approximately 100 miles per hour on eastbound Highway 34, west of Lincoln. The trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to yield. The trooper initiated a pursuit.
As the vehicle approached Lincoln, pilots in the NSP helicopter took over the pursuit in the air and troopers on the ground discontinued. NSP pilots tracked the vehicle as it entered the Air Park area of Lincoln. The driver then stopped near NW 53rd Street and West St. Paul Avenue. Both occupants fled on foot, while pilots directed troopers to the area.
NSP pilots observed the driver attempting to hide under a deck, then run through backyards and jump a fence. Troopers arrived on scene and quickly took the driver into custody without further incident. Additional troopers then located the female passenger less than one block away. She refused to comply with commands and continued fleeing on foot, but was quickly taken into custody.
The driver, Michael Neemeyer, 39, of Lincoln, was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, possession of marijuana – less than one ounce, numerous traffic violations, and an active warrant. The passenger, Malorie Poessnecker, 27, of Lincoln, was arrested for resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, and failure to obey a lawful order. Both were lodged in Lancaster County Jail.
