State Baseball Champions Crowned Friday

(Papillion, NE) - The NSAA state baseball tournament wrapped up on Friday at Werner Park.

Class C was up first with Malcolm defeating Central City Centura, 10-0. In Class B, Gretna East would win their first baseball title,e defeating Bennington, 2-0. Class A would overcome a weather delay with first pitch at 9:15 pm between Lincoln East and Millard North. East would tie the game in the bottom of the 7th at 4-4 and then load the bases. The Spartans would get the game-winning run to score from third on a flyout to right field foul territory.
