St. Francis Foundation’s Ticket to Win Kicking-Off Eighth Year

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — CHI Health St. Francis Foundation Ticket to Win is returning for its eighth year. Ticket sales, for the Foundation’s premiere fundraising raffle, kick-off at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 17 in Conference Room 2 at the hospital. Raffle tickets, priced at $100 each, will be available at the kick-off event.

Prizes for the Ticket to Win raffle drawing include a cash grand prize of $10,000, cash first prize of $5,000, as well as ten additional $500 cash card prizes. Winning tickets will be announced at the annual Ticket to Win social event on Thursday, June 5 at the hospital. The community is invited to the free event beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Half of all proceeds from Ticket to Win provides life-saving equipment and training to emergency first responders for unbudgeted items in Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Merrick and Greeley counties–over $548,251 has been distributed since its start. 

This year, the remaining half of all proceeds will be directed to the state-of-the-art CHI Health St. Francis Education Simulation Center. A resource for St. Francis clinicians, area emergency medical personnel and the community, the training center will feature an adult and a pediatric high-fidelity manikin. The computerized manikins mimic human physiology and are used to recreate real-life trauma scenarios providing learners with an opportunity to practice and refine clinical skills by performing a wide range of critical life-saving tasks.

In addition to prize drawings, the annual Ticket to Win social event will feature gourmet appetizers, a silent and live auction and drawings for several must-be-present-to-win door prizes including cash cards for general attendees and gift cards for emergency first responders who are in attendance.
