Sodbusters Sweep Fremont

The Hastings Sodbusters got tremendous pitching and timely hitting in a sweep of Fremont 3-1, and 5-1 on Saturday. 

In the opener, Jack Kruger lowered his team-leading ERA by tossing a complete game four-hitter. He allowed one unearned run and struck out five in improving to 3-0. Ryan Jarvis went 3-3 with an RBI. Alexiel Delgado was 2-2, doubled and knocked in one.

In game two, Jude Sundquist pitched five innings of two-hit ball. Michael Hanna and Markus Miller each pitched an inning. Drew Vega was 2-4 and scored a run. Yamato Sato provided a two-out two-run single in the third to give the Sodbusters a 3-0 lead. 

After a day off Sunday, the two teams meet again at 6:35 Monday at Duncan Field.
