Season Opener: Northwest Soccer Splits With Norris

(Grand Island, NE) - The Northwest soccer teams would open up the season on Thursday hosting the Norris Titans. In the girls match, Norris would win by a score of 6-2. Lupe Sanchez would score both goals for the Vikings. The Northwest boys would get a season-opening win over the Titans by a final score of 1-0 with a goal from Xavier Corona. Both squads will be back in action on Tuesday, March 19th hosting Kearney Catholic. After Tuesday's matchups, the Vikings will hit the road on Thursday, March 21st at Columbus Lakeview.
