Schock receives St. Francis Caring Kind Award

GRAND ISLAND - Chad Schock was named the 2024 Caring Kind Award recipient at CHI Health St. Francis earlier today. Recipients of this prestigious award have gone above and beyond the call of duty to demonstrate compassion for patients, cooperation with co-workers and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities. Schock is the Imaging Supervisor of the hospital’s Radiology Department. 

Annually, one employee is selected from staff nominations to represent St. Francis at the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) Annual Convention. NHA has paid tribute to more than 2,000 of Nebraska’s most caring and dedicated health care workers since 1979 at the event. 

The following are excerpts are from Schock’s nominations:
-Chad is an individual and an employee who is “all in!” He has been an ambassador for our community, our hospital, our patients and our employees in his words and actions. He is the first to volunteer and consistently models the way for others with any event where there is a need and where he can serve. His “can do” attitude and positive energy are unwavering, and he has inspired more people than he will ever know. 
-Chad exhibits compassion and concern for his patients as he performs diagnostic imaging. He puts them at ease by keeping them informed of what they can expect and reassures them to help them through the process.
-His service to our hospital through his leadership of the Employee Experience Team has invigorated the engagement of the members of this group, which supplies a vital life-blood to sustain our culture that is so special to St. Francis.
