S. North Road Closure Set For May 19th

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Public Works Department would like to inform residents and travelers of an upcoming complete closure of S. North Road, from Westgate Road to West U.S. Highway 30, due to highway and intersection construction.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 12 a.m. on Monday, May 19, and will remain in place until 12 a.m. on Friday, July 18. The project involves highway construction and intersection improvements at North Road and Highway 30, aimed at enhancing traffic flow and safety in the area.
This project is being conducted by the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternative routes during the construction period and to use caution when traveling near the work zone.
