Public Design Meeting Planned For Proposed Grand Island Skate Park
Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Parks & Recreation Department is looking to hear from the local skateboarding community on a proposed new skate park for the city.
A public design meeting for what a new skate park could look like in Grand Island is planned for Thursday, July 11 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the digital lab room of the Grand Island Public Library, which is located at 1124 W. 2nd Street.
The City of Grand Island is in its annual budget season, and the Parks and Recreation Department is expected to submit plans for a new skate park for the 2025 fiscal year. The planned meeting will be where the public can provide input on anything from location, features and style of the park.
