Nebraska Public Service Commission

Lincoln, August 13, 2025- The Nebraska Public Service Commission (PSC) reminds consumers
that it will be holding virtual town hall meetings as part of the Black Hills Energy Rate case

On May 1, Black Hills Energy filed an application with the PSC seeking a $34.6 million general
rate increase. The proposal will increase Black Hills’ fixed customer charges and distribution
charges, the rates regulated by the Commission.

As part of the process, and to provide information and address questions regarding the potential
rate increase, the Commission will hold three virtual town hall meetings. Virtual town hall
meetings are planned for Tuesday, August 19, beginning 1:30 p.m., and 7:00 p.m., and
Wednesday, August 20, at 10:00 a.m. A detailed schedule of the meetings and
information on how to participate can be found on the PSC website at https://psc.nebraska.

the meetings. A recording of a meeting will be made available on the PSC website.

A formal hearing on the Black Hills Energy rate case application (NG-124) is set to take place in
