Nebraska's Britt Prince advanced to the list of 10 midseason candidates for the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award presented by the WBCA and announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on Monday, Feb. 2.

Prince, a 5-11 sophomore out of Elkhorn North High School in the Omaha metro area, leads the Huskers with 18.1 points and 4.4 assists per game this season. One of the nation's most efficient guards, Prince is shooting 56.4 percent from the field, including 50 percent from three-point range. She is also the Big Ten's best free throw shooter (.930) and has hit a school-record 48 consecutive free throws. She is also a perfect 46-for-46 in Big Ten play.

Prince, who was a member of the 2025 Big Ten All-Freshman Team, has started all 22 games for the 16-6 Huskers and has produced eight 20-point scoring efforts this season. She posted a pair of career-high 30-point games in Nebraska non-conference wins over Oral Roberts (Nov. 19) and Virginia (Nov. 25). Her performance against the Cavaliers helped her earn MVP honors while helping the Huskers to a tournament title at the Emerald Coast Classic.

Fan voting for the top 10 candidates for the Lieberman Award will open on Friday, Feb. 6 at hoophallawards.com. The Fan Vote will count as one overall vote during the final selection process.

The final five candidates for the award will be released to the public on a day-by-day basis starting the week of March 16, with voting set to follow on March 20.
