Pius X Takes Two From GI Home Federal
(Grand Island, NE) - The Grand Island Home Federal baseball team would fall twice on Saturday afternoon at Ryder Park to Pius X/Union Bank & Trust.
In game one, Pius X would claim 7-0. 7 runs on 12 hits and no errors. Grand Island would get two hits in the game from Ruether and Coslor. In game two, Grand Island would fall 6-3. GI would have an early lead of 2-0 in the bottom of the third inning. Pius X would then answer with three runs in the top of the fourth and take the lead for good. Pius X would have 6 runs on 9 hits in the game with 2 errors. GI would get 3 runs on 6 hits and have 2 errors. Broxton Barrientos would lead the way for GI with 3 hits and 1 RBI.
