Pheasants Forever Dinner and Fundraiser to Benefit Hall County's Youth


 The Loup-Platte Chapter of Pheasants Forever is proud to announce the 32nd Annual Pheasants Forever Dinner and Fundraiser, a charitable event dedicated to supporting youth activities in Hall County and preserving Nebraska's natural habitat.

Event Details:
Date: February 10, 2024
Time: Doors open at 5:30 PM, Dinner at 6:30 PM
Location: Aurora Coop Pavilion at Fonner Park, Grand Island, Nebraska
The evening promises a memorable experience with live and silent auctions, along with various games and activities for attendees to enjoy.

Purpose:
The primary goal of this event is to raise funds to support Hall County's youth activities and contribute to conservation efforts in Nebraska. The Loup-Platte Chapter of Pheasants Forever is committed to keeping the raised funds within Nebraska, with a focus on the following key areas:
1. No Child Left Indoors:

A. Milkweed In The Classroom: Partnering with Grand Island Public Schools to provide kits for all kindergarten classes to grow milkweed, benefitting over 500 children in 2023 alone.

B. Youth Mentor Hunt: Offering hunting, shooting, outdoor experiences, and environmental stewardship education to Hall County's youth.

C. Annual Youth Scholarship: Awarding scholarships to local seniors pursuing outdoor-related majors.

2. Habitat Preservation:

A. Funding Nebraska Pheasants Forever wildlife biologists working statewide on conservation projects.

B. Administrative support for Nebraska Pheasants Forever.

C. Collaboration with the Nebraska Game and Parks on the Open Fields and Water program.

D. Habitat work on Nebraska Game and Parks' wildlife management areas.

E. Support for prescribed burn associations across the state.

F. Assistance to landowners in managing CRP lands for wildlife habitat.

G. Outreach programs for retaining and growing hunting and fishing in Nebraska.

3. Legislative Advocacy:

A. Supporting legislative activities at both the state and national levels promoting sound management of public lands for hunting and fishing.

B. Contributing to the development of the Path to the Uplands website: Path to the Uplands
