One Vehicle Rollover Tuesday In Merrick County

(Merrick County, NE) - On Tuesday, April 16th Merrick County deputies responded to a one-vehicle rollover accident on Highway 30 near 6th Road. The investigation concluded that a black GMC SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 30 approaching 6th Road when the vehicle crossed the center line, overcorrected, and caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and enter the north ditch causing the vehicle to roll over. Four occupants were in the vehicle and received minor non-threatening injuries. Seatbelts were in use by all occupants. Alcohol is not a contributing factor. The driver was issued a citation for No Operator's License and Driving Left of Center and released from the scene. Chapman Fire Department and the Nebraska State Patrol assisted with this incident.
