Northwest Softball Run Rules Gretna East, 10-2

(Grand Island, NE) - The Northwest Viking softball team won its 18th game in a row on Tuesday night, downing the Gretna East Griffins, 10-2 in five innings. 

Northwest would have two home runs on the night, one each from freshman Abby Dinkelman and sophomore Graclyn Simmons. 

Simmons would have a fantastic night in the circle, fanning 14 Gretna East batters. That would be a Northwest career high in strikeouts for Simmons. 

The Vikings are now 20-2 on the season and will next be in action on Thursday, October 2nd, traveling to York to play in the Central Conference Tournament. Northwest will open up the day's action with Lexington at 10:00 am.
