Northwest Softball Claims Kearney Tournament

(Kearney, NE) - The Northwest softball team continued its winning ways on Saturday playing in the Kearney High Softball Invite. The Vikings ran the table and won three games to claim the championship to move to 12-0. The Vikings would open up the day with a 8-3 win over Kearney Catholic. Northwest would then defeat Bellevue East 1-0 in the semi-finals. The Vikings in the championship game would win over the host Kearney Bearcats 6-4. 

Northwest will host Kearney Catholic on Monday, September 9th at 6:30 pm from the Vets Complex in Grand Island. The Vikings will then host Grand Island Central Catholic on Thursday, September 12th at the Vets Complex. Listen Thursday on KRGI 1430/105.5 & krgi.com.
