Northwest boys wrestling wins Central Conference

(Seward, NE) - The Northwest boys wrestling team claimed the 2023 Central Conference tournament crown on Saturday at Seward High School. The Vikings finished the day with the top score of 228. York was second at 188.5, Lexington claimed third place with 185 points. The Aurora boys finished in 8th place. One of the highlights on the day was the battle at 285 between Jack Allen of Aurora and Victor Isle of Northwest. This time in the conference match Allen would win 1-0 over Isle for Allen to claim the 285 crown. The two matched up each other earlier in the season with Allen winning in dual action. On the girls side of things Lexington finished on top with 160 points. Crete and Schuyler followed with 158 points each. Northwest finished in 6th place, Aurora 8th.
