Northwest Boys defeat Kearney Catholic To Advance To B7 Sub-Final

(Hastings, NE) - The Northwest boys defeated Kearney Catholic on Monday night at Hastings College to advance to the B7 sub-district final on Tuesday, May 6th. 

The Vikings would get first-half goals in the first 11 minutes from Keith DeLaet off a pass from Conner Haney. Jayden Roth would then steal it from a Star defender and score to make it 2-0 Vikings. 

Northwest would make it 3-0 in the 2nd half as Conner Haney would pass to Keith DeLaet to score his second goal in the contest. Kearney Catholic would get a goal to make it 3-1 with 2 minutes left in the match. 

The Vikings, with the win, would snap a seven-match losing streak to advance to the B7 sub-final at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6th at Hastings College. 

In the other semi-final of the night, the Hastings Tigers would defeat Aurora by a final score 5-1.
