Northwest Basketball Hits The Road Friday & Saturday

(Grand Island, NE) - The Northwest girls and boys basketball teams will hit the road on Friday, January 9th at Columbus Lakeview and Saturday, January 10th, at York. All four games will be carried live on 103.1 2DAYFM & 2dayfm1031.com. The Northwest girls enter the week with a 4-5 record. The Northwest boys are 5-4. 

The Viking girls are coming off a 1-1 performance at the Malcolm Holiday basketball tournament, falling to Malcolm 66-44 on December 30th. Northwest would then defeat McCook on December 31st, 53-30. The Vikings' last game out was on January 3rd, falling at Norris 55-34. 

The Northwest boys would also go 1-2 in the three games over the holiday break. The Vikings would go 1-1 at the Malcolm Holiday basketball tournament. On December 30th the Vikings would defeat host Malcolm, 59-51. Then on December 31st, Northwest would fall to McCook in a back-and-forth slugfest, 55-50. On January 3rd, the Vikings would have a tough loss to a very good Norris squad, 79-28.

Saturday at York - Girls 1:00 pm - Boys 2:30 pm
