MSP Rallies Past Aurora

Aurora couldn't make an early 4-0 lead stick as Maxwell-St. Pats rallied past the Huskies 7-6.  Aurora was clutch early. Dylan Ronnau hit a two out  RBI double. Lucas Fry added a two run double and scored on a two-base wild pitch to give the Huskies the early advantage.

Tate Bendorf added an RBI single in the third. Dane Comer singled home a run in the fourth to give Aurora a 6-1 lead.

The game turned in the bottom of that inning. Jack Spiehs struck out the first three. However Levi Charter swung at one in the dirt which allowed him to reach safely. That was followed by two walks and a triple. MSP plated three on just one hit to cut the deficit to 6-4.

Spiehs hit his pitch count after six with 12 strikeouts and just two hits allowed.

But in the 7th, MSP rallied with a check-swing single and a solid single. After Sawyer Kiner delivered a strikeout, MSP used an error, a successful double steal, and intentional walk and a single to get the walkoff win.

Lukas Fry went 2-3, doubled, scored twice, knocked in two and stole three bases. Spiehs, Comer, and Ronnau also had two hits.
