Kearney Police Memorial Ceremony

Join us in honoring our brave law enforcement officers during National Police Week May 12, 2024 through May 18, 2024. The Kearney Police Department and Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office invite you to a Police Memorial Ceremony on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in front of the City of Kearney/Buffalo County Law Enforcement Center. Let's take a moment together to remember and pay tribute to those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Your presence means a lot to us as we honor their memory and express our gratitude for their service. The ceremony will feature the National Anthem, a ceremonial wreath laying at the base of the flagpole, Taps, and a rifle firing by the Honor Guard. We are grateful for the unwavering support of our community. Let's stand together in solidarity and appreciation. There will be temporary traffic delays and road closures near the Law Enforcement Center at 21st Street and A Avenue during the ceremony. The public is welcome to attend.
