Islanders and Wildcats earn State Dual Tournament Berths

The Grand Island Senior High Islanders and the St. Paul Wildcats have qualified for the 2024 NSAA State Dual Tournament that will be held in Kearney at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds.

Including this year the Islanders have qualified for the tournament 9 out of the 12 years that the State Dual Tournament has existed placing 5 times with a team title in 2014, runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2022, along with 3rd place finishes in 2016 and 2020. St. Paul has qualified the last 3 years now including 3rd place finishes in 2022 and 2023.

The Islanders open up with Omaha Bryan while St. Paul draws Wilber-Clatonia in the opening round.
