HUW 50 K Giveaway Set for Tuesday

(Grand Island, NE) - The Heartland United Way will be giving away a combined $50,000 to three generous donors during the first ever HUW $50k Giveaway on December 16th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Drawing at 5:45 p.m.

The event will take place at the Raising Nebraska building at 501 East Fonner Park Road, Suite 100, Grand Island. Every year people in Hall, Hamilton, Howard & Merrick Counties turn their gift to the Heartland United Way into opportunities for kids, financial security for families, and healthier communities through our annual campaign. United is the way we create this magic. It’s how we turn each person’s gift into meaningful change.

In 2025, those who donate at least $312, or $6 a week, will qualify for an entry into the Heartland United Way $50K Giveaway thanks to a generous gift from Campaign Chairs Kent and Tonja Brown.
Starting November 24th, the Heartland United Way began randomly selecting names from those who have entered the drawing to be the 24 silver bell winners. The 25th bell winner will be drawn during our $50K Giveaway. The public is invited to attend, and prize winners must be present to win. Of those 25 bell winners, 3 will ring in the new year with one of three cash prizes: $5,000, $15,000, and $30,000.
