Hefty Amount of Video Games Stolen from Grand Island Walmart


(Grand Island, NE) - Wednesday night, March 22nd a Grand Island Police Officer responded to Walmart North; 2250 N Diers Ave in reference to a shoplifting incident. It was reported that a male suspect came into the store multiple times between 9:25 am and 11:06 am, concealing and leaving the last point of sale without paying for $5,251.51 worth of Nintendo Switch video games. The male subject cut and damaged the back of the video game case to gain access to steal the video games. He then stole a black Reebok jacket worth $32.00 to wear and help conceal the stolen merchandise.

As of Thursday morning, GIPD has not given out the description of who they might be looking for as a suspect in the case.
