Grand Island Television Expands Reach Across Central Nebraska

Grand Island, Neb. — The City of Grand Island is pleased to announce that Grand Island Television (GITV), the city’s Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) station, is expanding its reach throughout central Nebraska.
GITV is now available on Allo Communications’ streaming channels 1 and 2, making it more accessible than ever for residents in Grand Island, Hall County and the broader region to stay connected with local government and community programming.
This exciting addition to the Allo Streaming lineup joins GITV’s current availability on Spectrum/Charter Communications (Channels 180 and 187) and over-the-air digital Channel 50.1. For those without cable or over-the-air capabilities, GITV also continues to offer a 24/7 livestream and archive of past programming via the City of Grand Island website.
“The addition of GITV to Allo reinforces our commitment to transparency, education and accessibility,” Grand Island Communications Manager Spencer Schubert said. “By expanding our reach, we’re ensuring that more residents across central Nebraska can engage with their local government and community.”
In addition to live and recorded video content, GITV offers a continuous electronic bulletin board for city events, updates and important notices—available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Since its founding in 1993, GITV has been a trusted local resource for transparency, education and civic engagement. The station’s expansion with Allo Communications further strengthens that role.
