Gov. Pillen to Recognize Ag Week with Tours/Events
LINCOLN, NE – Governor Jim Pillen will recognize National Ag Week with a series of stops in Nebraska next week. The two-day tour will include participants across the state’s ag sector including the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, company and industry representatives, members of the University of Nebraska, students from FFA and 4-H, and farmers and ranchers.
Visits and events this year will focus on growing Nebraska’s bioeconomy and opportunities in value-added agriculture -- priorities for Gov. Pillen. Hastings-based companies included on the first leg of the Governor’s tour include Chief Ethanol, Tallgrass and Heartwell Renewables.
