GISH Baseball Starts Post-Season Play Saturday

(Lincoln, NE) - The Grand Island baseball team will open up post-season play on Saturday, May 4th at 1:30 pm from Sherman Field as the Islanders will participate in the Class A District 6 tournament. Grand Island at 15-8 will await the winner of Bellevue East (15-16) vs Omaha Buena Vista (1-24), who will play Friday, May 3rd at 3:30 pm at Bellevue East High School. If GI wins on Saturday in the 1:30 pm game they will turn around and play in the A6 championship on Saturday at 4:00 pm. 

The topside of the bracket will see Lincoln Pius X take on Omaha Northwest Friday at 3:00 pm. The winner of that game will get Lincoln Southwest on Saturday at 11:00 am from Sherman Field.
