GICC Volleyball Downs North Platte In Five

(Grand Island, NE) - The GICC volleyball team would defeat North Platte on Tuesday night at Crusader Gym in five sets. (25-18, 30-28, 23-25, 18-25, 17-15) The Crusaders would be led by senior Maggie Herbek with 12 kills on the night. Freshman Ava Waind would chip in 6 kills and Oakley Todd had 5 kills in the match. North Platte would have 18 service errors in the match along with 17 attack errors. The Bulldogs would get 8 kills from Keyala Williams. Lexi Lantis would have 6 kills and Abby Kaminski had 5 kills. 

North Platte with the loss slips to 10-16 on the season. GICC is now 10-10 and will be back in action on Thursday, October 10th traveling to Lincoln Lutheran for pool play of the Centennial Conference tournament. GICC will play Lincoln Lutheran and Bishop Neumann in Pool A. Bracket play will be hosted by GICC on Saturday, October 12th.
