GICC Hosts Musical This Weekend

Grand Island Central Catholic presents Disney “Freaky Friday”, a new musical. Book by Bridget Carpenter, music by Tom Kitt, lyrics by Brian Yorkey, based on the novel Freaky Friday by Mary Rodgers and the Disney films. Show dates are March 21 and 22 at 7:30PM and March 23 at 2PM at Central Catholic 1200 N Ruby, Grand Island.

A stressed mother and her teenage daughter couldn’t be more different, and it is driving them both insane. They magically switch bodies, forcing them to navigate a day in each other’s lives. They desperately try to switch back before anyone notices. Unable to switch back, they are forced to masquerade as one another until a solution can be found.

This ultimately leads to a deeper understanding and appreciation for one another’s struggles and perspectives, often with humorous and heartfelt moments.
