Offense: Drugs

Offender: Emmett Davidson & Apalonia Decoteau

Location of Incident: 1602 W 2nd St
Brief Narrative: On 11/20/2024 at approximately 2125 hours, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving without head lights, and expired registration near the intersection of 2nd St. and Lincoln Ave. As Officers followed the vehicle into the Super Saver parking lot, the driver would be seen making furtive movements inside the cab. Contact was made with the driver, verbally identified as Emmett Davidson and his female passenger, verbally identified as Apalonia Decoteau. Both occupants’ identification were confirmed. While speaking with the occupants, legal items that could be associated with drug use were also observed inside the vehicle. Officers would deploy a narcotics K-9 for a free air sniff of the vehicle. A positive alert was made on the vehicle. Officers would conduct a probable cause search. Multiple baggies of a crystalline substance confirmed to be Methamphetamine were located under the driver's seat of the vehicle where Davidson was seated. Further search of the vehicle uncovered another smaller bag of a crystalline substance confirmed to be Methamphetamine located under the passenger seat where Decoteau was seated. Both occupants were taken into custody. Davidson was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, No Valid Registration, and Head Lights. Decoteau was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Brief Narrative: Staff at Westridge Middle School requested immediate assistance from GIPD SROs due to an out-of-control student that was physically assaulting school staff. Officers arrived on scene and were able to separate Offender from staff. Five staff members were assaulted by the Offender. Offender was contacted and attempted to blame the Victims for his actions. Offender was released to a Parent after Juvenile Probation completed a juvenile intake. Offender to be cited for 5 counts of Assault in the Third Degree, Strangulation and Terroristic Threats. 

Offense: Motor Vehicle Theft
Victim: 26 year old female Incident #: L24111608
Date and Time of Incident: 11/20/24 @ 07:31
Location of Incident: 1414 N Locust St
Brief Narrative: Victim reported that someone stole her 2007 Honda Pilot from her driveway. The vehicle is valued at $4,500 and was left unlocked with her keys inside. The vehicle was entered as stolen and later recovered in Douglas County by the Nebraska State Patrol. Case is open.
