Offense: Drugs
Victim: Incident #: L25042392
Offender: Jacqueline Ruiz
Date and Time of Incident: 4/25/25 @ 12:52
Location of Incident: W 5th & N Broadwell
Brief Narrative: On 04/25/2025, a gold Chevy Traverse was observed driving southbound on Broadwell Street. A records check would reveal that the vehicle is registered to Jacqueline Ruiz. Officers know Jacqueline from prior contact and know her to be suspended. Jacqueline would be observed and recognized as the driver of the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted at 5th and Broadwell. A records check confirmed that Jacqueline is suspended. Jacqueline was unable to provide proof of insurance for the vehicle. Jacqueline admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day and would have red droopy glossy eyes. During SFST's Jacqueline showed indicators of impairment. Jacqueline provided a passing PBT sample. A DRE was requested and after additional testing was performed, the DRE advised Jacqueline is impaired by a drug and is unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. Jacqueline refused to submit to a chemical test of her urine. While searching Jacqueline 0.9 grams of methamphetamine was located in her pocket and drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. Jacqueline was arrested for DUI Drugs (1st), Possession Control Substance, Drug Paraphernalia, Drive During Sus (1st), No Proof Insurance and Refusal to Submit to Test.

Brief Narrative: Suspect passed a counterfeit $100 bill at Applebees, 721 N Diers Ave.

Offense: Felony Flight to Avoid Arrest
Victim: Incident #: L25042535
Offender: Austin Renschler
Date and Time of Incident: 4/26/25 @ 17:52
Location of Incident: 3130 E Hwy 30
Brief Narrative: Officers attempted to stop a red Chevrolet Silverado in the 3100 block of East Highway 30 for a defective brake light. The truck fled the scene of the traffic stop and went off the road through a corn field and eventually through a stop sign where other motorists were present at a high rate of speed. The driver of the vehicle was visually identified as Austin Renschler. Renschler would eventually flee on foot and was located approximately one and a half hours later in a shed. During the arrest, Renschler failed to comply with lawful commands and resisted arrest. Renschler was arrested for Willful Reckless Driving, Felony Flight to Avoid Arrest, Obstruction, Resisting Arrest and a Hall County Warrant (CR24-358).

Offender: 13 yr old male

Location of Incident: 917 S Lincoln
Brief Narrative: On 04/26/2025 officers responded to 917 S Lincoln in reference to a juvenile problem. Upon arrival it was discovered that a 12-year-old male had threatened his mother's life with a knife and assaulted his juvenile sister leaving visible injury. The juvenile male was placed under for Terroristic Threats, Use of A Weapon to Commit of a Felony Class and 3rd Degree assault arrest and transported to foster care in Omaha Nebraska.

Offense: Motor Vehicle Theft
Victim: 55 yr old female Incident #: L25042567
Date and Time of Incident: 4/26/25 @ 23:53
Location of Incident: 2004 N Wheeler Ave
Brief Narrative: A vehicle was reported as stolen by two reporting parties, one of which was the registered owner. A witness advised that she knew the male who stole the vehicle. The registered owner stated that she did not know the male who stole the vehicle. The vehicle was valued at $10,000. The estimated damage was less than $500. It was later recovered and returned to the registered owner.

Victim: 41 yr old male & 83 yr old female Incident #: L25042530
Date and Time of Incident: between 4/12/25 & 4/26/25
Location of Incident: 1323 Lafayette Ave
Brief Narrative: Reporting party reported that an unknown person forced entry into her mother's residence; 1323 N Lafayette Ave, and stole multiple items valued at approximately $500.00 total.
