Offense: Theft
Victim: Barnes Group aka Cost Cutters Incident #: L24021282
Date and Time of Incident: between 1/19/24 & 2/13/24
Location of Incident: 3501 S Locust St
Brief Narrative: Reporting Party came to the police station and reported that an employee of the business they managed had kept the night deposits from the business instead of taking them and depositing them into the bank. Case is open.

Offender: Patricia Payton & Trinda Lundy
Date and Time of Incident: 2/16/24 @ 13:05
Location of Incident: 1710 W 2nd St
Brief Narrative: On 02-16-2024 at approximately 13:05 hours a welfare check was dispatched to 1710 W 2nd St. CVS Pharmacy where a witness observed two females in a red van using drugs. Officers arrived and contacted Patricia Payton and Trinda Lundy in 1998 Chrysler Town and Country which showed Patricia as the registered owner. Officers would observe multiple hand held butane torches which are commonly used as heat source to ingest controlled substances along with other drug promoting items such as a Little Tree brand Wild Hemp scent air freshener and sticker of a loaded Marijuana glass smoking pipe. A records check also showed Patricia and Trinda had prior law enforcement contacts involving drugs. Patricia would deny consent to search the vehicle and a K9 unit was requested. Hall County Sheriff Deputy would arrive and deploy his K9. The Deputy would later advise officer had probable cause to search the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery, glass-smoking pipes, prescription pills in bottles with other prescriptions, loose prescription pills and a white crystalline substance in a plastic baggy which is known to be Methamphetamine which weighed .7 grams. Patricia Payton was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Acts Relating to Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Trinda Lundy cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Victim: 39 year old male Incident #: L24021332
Date and Time of Incident: 2/16/24 @ 17:15
Location of Incident: 418 N Wheeler, Apt A
Brief Narrative: On 02/16/2024 at 2016 hrs Officers were dispatched to 418 Wheeler Ave N; 2A in reference to a burglary call for service. It was reported that the door was forced open and items of value are missing of $152 and an identification document.

Offender: Chelsie Ashford

Location of Incident: 3620 State St
Brief Narrative: Chelsie Ashford was cited for the above listed offense after confessing she had stolen assorted merchandise worth $59.46 (not recovered) and a record check showed she had 4 prior theft ($0-$500) convictions.

Offender: 15 year old male, 16 year old male, Anthony Collins
Date and Time of Incident: between 2/18/24 & 2/19/24
Location of Incident: 208 E 15th St
Brief Narrative: On 02/18/2024 Officers were dispatched to 208 15th St E in reference to an assault call for service. It was reported the victim was assaulted by two juveniles and Anthony Collins at Colonial Square Apartments. It was also reported that the two juveniles and Anthony would use knives to threaten the male victim and forcibly take property from the victim. The victim reported that he received minor injuries from the assault causing him pain. The property would be later recovered and returned to the victim. Anthony Collins arrested for Robbery and Criminal mischief-$0-500 Two Juveniles arrested for Robbery and Criminal mischief-$0-500

Victim: 43 year old female Incident #: L24021442
Offender: Ryan Bures
Date and Time of Incident: 2/18/24 @ 05:00
Location of Incident: 2308 W 1st St
Brief Narrative: On 02-18-2024 at approximately 10:03 hours a theft call was dispatched to 2308 W 1st St which lead to the investigation of a belated domestic assault. Ryan Bures and the victim who are in an intimate relationship of 25 years engaged in verbal altercation over a pot and cell phone service at approximately 0500 to 0600hours. This would lead to Ryan reaching and grabbing at this victims neck causing scratch marks and broke skin on the back of the neck. The victim was so scared she fled the residence on foot. Ryan would be placed under arrest for Domestic Assault 3rd Degree Sub offense.

Victim: 42 year old female Incident #: L24021454
Offender: Nathaniel Buss
Date and Time of Incident: 2/18/24 @ 14:25
Location of Incident: 1811 Ada St
Brief Narrative: On 2/18/24, officers received a report of a domestic assault at 1811 Ada St. The victim advised she is married with a child in common to Nathaniel Buss. She stated Buss grabbed her phone out of her hand, pushed her to the floor, and searched her body for keys, causing verbal complaint of pain to her hand, buttocks, and breast, respectively. Buss confirmed a verbal argument and stated he grabbed her phone, but denied the other reported assaults. A witness reported hearing a disturbance and finding the victim on the floor. Nathaniel Buss was placed under arrest on the charge of domestic assault, third degree. A review of his criminal history revealed prior convictions for domestic assault, third degree. Nathaniel Buss was arrested for Domestic Assault, 3rd Degree (w/ priors).

Offense: Sex Offense
Victim: 18 year old male Incident #: L24021455
Date and Time of Incident: between 1/28/24 & 2/18/24
Location of Incident: Within City Limits
Brief Narrative: A subject reported a pornographic video/photograph, of which they were unaware had been created; and being distributed on a social media platform. The video/photograph was removed from the platform prior to police being notified. The victim was sent photos from other's showing the victim in a state of undress and engaged in a sexual act. Case is open.
