Tulsa, Okla. -- Creighton Women's Basketball captured its fourth consecutive win, downing Tulsa 81-59 on Sunday, December 1.

With the win the Bluejays moved to 5-2 on the season, while Tulsa fell to 2-5.

Trailing 9-6 with just over four minutes left in the first quarter, Creighton seized control with an 11-2 run to close the frame. The Bluejay surge began with two free throws from Brooke Littrell, followed by driving layups from Lauren Jensen and Kennedy Townsend to put Creighton up 12-6. After a Tulsa bucket, Morgan Maly drained a trey, then Molly Mogensen closed the quarter with another driving layup to put the Bluejays up 17-11 after ten minutes.

Creighton slowly crept away in the second half, getting eight points in the frame from Jensen to take a 35-24 edge into the locker room at the half.

The Bluejays stretched their lead to 17 at 43-26 early in the third quarter behind an 8-0 run that included treys from Maly and Mallory Brake. Leading 58-44 with 2:22 remaining, Creighton closed the frame with a 9-1 burst to hold a 67-46 lead as the game moved to the fourth.

Freshman Elizabeth Gentry gave the Bluejays their largest lead of the game, 24 points, with 1:03 left in the game at 81-57.

Morgan Maly led four Bluejays in double figures with 16 points, while Lauren Jensen finished with 15. Rounding out Creighton players in double digits were Mallory Brake with 11 points and Brooke Littrell with 10 points.

Tulsa got 15 points from Delanie Crawford and 12 from Elise Hill in the loss.

The Bluejays return to the hardwood on Wednesday, Dec. 4 as Creighton opens BIG EAST play against Xavier at 10:00 am (CT).
