OMAHA, Neb. -- Head coach Brian Rosen announced Creighton Volleyball's 2025 schedule, and it remains one of the nation's most challenging non-conference slates.

The fall season opens a pair of exhibition matches at D.J. Sokol Arena. CU hosts its annual Blue-White Scrimmage on Aug. 9 before taking on Colorado State one week later.

In a reversal of how last fall's 32-3 season ended in the Elite Eight, the Bluejays open the regular-season with matches against Penn State and Texas. The contest against the defending national champion Nittany Lions will take place in Lincoln, Neb., as part of the AVCA First Serve.

The gauntlet continues a week later in Madison, Wis., with the Opening Spike Classic. The Bluejays face 2022 and 2023 national champion Texas (Aug. 29) before challenging Big 12 runner-up Kansas (Aug. 31) for the first of two meetings with the Jayhawks.

Creighton heads to Los Angeles, Calif., for the Trojan Invitational on Sept. 5-7. CU opens with 2022 national runner-up San Diego (Sept. 5) before meeting UCSB a night later. The Bluejays conclude their trip on Sunday against Big Ten power USC.

The Jays close non-conference play with six straight home matches, a stretch that opens with the Bluejay Invitational from Sept. 12-14. CU hosts defending national runner-up Louisville in its home opener on Sept. 12, then hosts Rice (Sept. 13) and Northern Iowa (Sept. 14) the next two days.

CU hosts 2024 semifinalist Nebraska on Sept. 16 inside CHI Health Center Omaha, the first time the Bluejays have hosted the Cornhuskers since 2022. The teams attracted an NCAA volleyball-only record 15,797 fans during NU's last visit to Omaha and will look to regain the regular-season volleyball-only record that is currently 17,037.

The non-conference schedule concludes with the Creighton Classic. CU hosts South Florida on Sept. 20 before the rematch with Kansas the following evening.

League play for the 11-time defending BIG EAST champion Bluejays starts Sept. 26 with a home match versus Xavier, followed the next day against Butler. CU's next four conference contests will be on the road, a stretch that includes visits to Marquette (Oct. 2), DePaul (Oct. 4), Georgetown (Oct. 10) and Villanova (Oct. 11).

The Bluejays return home on Oct. 17 for a match against St. John's before taking on Seton Hall two days later. Creighton closes October with visits to Providence (Oct. 24) and Connecticut (Oct. 25) before a Halloween afternoon match-up vs. DePaul.

Creighton opens November with a run of three home matches in a row, a stretch that begins with perennial power Marquette on Nov. 1. CU also takes on Villanova (Nov. 7) and Georgetown (Nov. 9) to wrap up the home schedule. CU finishes off the regular-season on Nov. 14 at St. John's and Nov. 16 at Seton Hall, as the league returns to a 16-match conference schedule.

The BIG EAST Tournament will be Nov. 22-23 in Milwaukee, Wis., while Creighton looks to make a 14th consecutive NCAA Tournament trip the weekend of Dec. 4-6.
