Cory Valasek hired as new St. Paul Football Coach

The St. Paul Wildcats have hired Cory Valasek as their new Head Football Coach for the upcoming school year. Valasek replaces Cody Wheeler who resigned with a record of 4-14 after 2 seasons of leading the Cats.

Valasek comes from Riverside where in his 6 years as HC led the Chargers to 6 straight playoff appearances including a 2024 Runner Up in Class D2 falling to Central Valley in the State Title Game.

Prior to Riverside he coached at Pierce under then Head Coach Mark Brahmer for 3 years prior.

He got his start in coaching at his Alma Mater Doane under Head Coach Matt Franzen.

Valasek is a 2010 Graduate of Spalding Academy and will teach PE in St. Paul.
