Copper wire stolen from rural Nebraska property
WYMORE - A farmer reported the theft of copper wire from his irrigation pivot and damage to the pivot, which was in a field near South 108th Road and East Spruce Road in rural Wymore. The victim reported the theft and criminal mischief occurred between January 6th and January 8th, 2026. The victim made the discovery while doing some follow-up maintenance on the equipment between those dates.
The Gage County Sheriff’s Office encourages farmers and property owners to check their fields, farms, property and buildings and report any damage, theft, or other suspicious circumstances to law enforcement as soon as possible. Reporting crimes as soon as possible increases the likelihood of determining who is responsible and making an arrest.
