Community Fishing Night at Kansas Point

The public is invited to join the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Nebraska Public Power District to celebrate the new angler access project at Lake Maloney State Recreation Area’s Kansas Point during a Community Fishing Night. The fishing event will be held on Sat., May 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This free event includes loaner fishing equipment, bait, along with NGPC and NPPD staff to assist those of all ages learn the basics of fishing. Everyone is invited regardless of age or skill. Get your family and friends outside and enjoy an evening of fishing. Those 16 years and older need a valid fishing license to fish. A daily or annual permit is required.
Along with fishing, come enjoy other activities like fish casting, knot tying, S’mores, and more.
Look for the colorful fishing trailers at Kansas Point located on the west side of Lake Maloney SRA near the inlet canal.
