Carey Named to 2025 Brooks Wallace Award Watch List
Junior Dylan Carey was named to the 2025 Brooks Wallace Award Watch List, the College Baseball Foundation announced Friday.
The award honors the nation’s top shortstop and will be presented by the College Baseball Foundation later this year. It is named for former Texas Tech shortstop Brooks Wallace, who played for the Red Raiders from 1977 to 1980.
Carey is hitting .290 with 11 doubles, six home runs, 31 RBI and 29 runs scored while leading the Big Ten and ranking 14th nationally with six sacrifice flies on the season.
The Castle Rock, Colo., native has totaled nine multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI contests this season.
