Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist joins CHI Health at Kearney


Kearney–CHI Health Clinic Heart Institute in Kearney welcomes board certified interventional cardiologist Ramakrishna Gorantla, MD to its medical staff. 

Dr. Gorantla specializes in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the heart and blood vessels using catheter-based procedures to treat complex cardiac conditions. He completed an internal medicine residency at Bassett Medical Center, Columbia University of Physicians and Surgeons, Cooperstown, NY; a heart failure and transplant cardiology fellowship and cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX; and a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic, Iowa City, IA. 

Dr. Gorantla served as an interventional cardiologist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha before moving to Kearney.

At CHI Health Clinic Heart Institute (Kearney), Dr. Gorantla joins board certified interventional cardiologists Dr. Dan McGowan and Dr. John Waters, board certified cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Pankaj Kulshrestha and board certified vascular surgeon Dr. Franz Murphy. Advanced practice registered nurses Marcelle Botha, Kirby Knuth and Lucinda Moore complete the group.

Their practice is located on the second floor of Good Samaritan’s Medical Building at 3219 Central Ave. It is open weekdays from 8 am until 4:30 pm. Call (308) 865-7271 to schedule an appointment.
