The Nebraska women's basketball team learned its conference home and away games for the first Big Ten season featuring 18 teams, when the league made the announcement on Tuesday, May 7.

The Huskers, who advanced to the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament after running to an appearance in the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game, will face Big Ten Tournament champion and NCAA runner-up Iowa both home and away in 2024-25.

Nebraska's eight other home games at Pinnacle Bank Arena will include Big Ten newcomers Oregon and Washington, along with 2024 NCAA Tournament qualifiers Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State. Postseason qualifiers Minnesota, Penn State and Wisconsin will also travel to Lincoln to battle the Big Red.

In addition to colliding with the Hawkeyes in Iowa City, Nebraska will make a trip to Big Ten newcomers USC and UCLA in Los Angeles, while also battling 2024 NCAA Tournament teams Indiana and Maryland and inaugural WBIT Champion Illinois on the road, along with Purdue, Northwestern and Rutgers.

The parameters for the 18-game conference women's basketball schedule in 2024-25 included 16 single-play games and one home and away opponent. Geography and competitive balance were at the center of the home/away opponents. All 14 Big Ten teams located in the Eastern and Central time zones will make one two-game trip to either UCLA/USC or Washington/Oregon each season. All four teams located in the Pacific time zone will play six or eight games in the Eastern/Central time zones. Each team plays at least two road games in both the Eastern and Central time zones.

The announcement of the home and away games is the first step in the conference scheduling process. Later this summer, the conference will announce tentative dates for Big Ten regular-season games, before determining final dates and TV designations.

The conference has not announced a location or dates for the 2025 Big Ten Tournament. Nebraska's non-conference schedule has not yet been announced.

Nebraska is set to return first-team All-Big Ten center and Lisa Leslie Award candidate Alexis Markowski along with Big Ten Freshman of the Year Natalie Potts in 2024-25. Returning starters Kendall Moriarty and Logan Nissley are also scheduled to return, along with the 2021-22 and 2022-23 starter Allison Weidner, who has missed the past year-and-a-half with injuries.

Key contributors from Nebraska's 23-12 team that finished 11-7 in the Big Ten also include Callin Hake, Kendall Coley and Jessica Petrie. The Huskers also add two-time Nebraska Gatorade Player of the Year Britt Prince (Elkhorn North), Illinois High School standout Amiah Hargrove (Christopher), Kennadi Williams (Lincoln Southwest) and Florida transfer and Denmark National Team member Alberte Rimdal.
