Bahl Grabs Fourth Weekly Honor

Husker Softball Jordy Bahl
Jordyn Bahl was named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season, the conference announced Monday.

Across the Huskers’ three wins this week, Bahl compiled an ERA of 1.27 and a record of 2-0. Nebraska has already claimed the series win against Northwestern with another game yet to play today, and Bahl’s pitching and offense were both large parts of handing the Wildcats their first conference series loss since 2022 and first in 21 Big Ten series. Both of the Huskers’ wins over Northwestern came in run-rule fashion, and it was the first time the Wildcats had been run-ruled in consecutive games since 2017.

Against Creighton on Wednesday, she threw 6.0 innings and allowed only one run while striking out eight batters. In the first game against Northwestern on Saturday, she struck out 11 batters for her fifth double-digit strikeout outing of the year, while allowing only one run and two hits.

Offensively, the Papillion, Neb., native had a batting average of .545 across the three games with seven RBIs, six hits and four runs scored. She knocked a home run in the matchup with Creighton and in the first game against the Wildcats.

Bahl and the rest of the Huskers are set to face off against Northwestern in the final game of the series at 3 p.m. today. The contest will be streamed on B1G+ and can be heard across the Huskers Radio Network.
