Aurora SB Outlasts Fillmore Central
In a softball contest that lasted over two and half hours, Aurora held off Fillmore Central 17-14. The game featured 31 runs, 28 hits, 17 walks, 218 pitches thrown and three lead changes.
London Teahon's grand slam capped a seven run sixth inning that put Aurora on top to stay. Teahon went 2-5 with four runs batted in and a run scored. Vivi Fahrnbruch hit her first home of the year as part of a 3-5 day. She drove in four and scored three times. Violet Carstensen went 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
Josie Fink threw 137 pitches to pick up the complete game win for the Huskies.
Cali Gonzales and Addy Treinen each had four hits to pace the Panthers.
Aurora plays GICC at the Seward Tounrament on Saturday. Next coverage of the Huskies will be at York next Thursday on 97.3 the Wolf.
