Adriano Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

Nebraska opposite hitter Virginia Adriano was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday. It's her second career weekly Big Ten award. 

Adriano averaged 3.00 kills per set with a .452 hitting percentage, and she added 1.50 blocks per set and served four aces in Nebraska's sweeps at Iowa and No. 17 Indiana. 

On Thursday, Adriano had nine kills on .500 hitting with three blocks and a career-high three aces in the 3-0 win over Iowa. On Saturday, the Turin, Italy native provided nine kills on .412 hitting with a career-best six blocks and another ace in a 3-0 win at No. 17 Indiana. 

In the month of November, Adriano is averaging 2.70 kills per set with a .380 hitting percentage.
