Reisig Named New Hastings Public Library Director
(Hastings, NE) - Hastings Public Library has a new director. Kelly Reisig started in the position on Wednesday, May 21. Reisig comes to the City of Hastings from Worland, Wyoming where she had worked as the Benefits Manager for the Admiral Beverage Corporation since August 2023. From April 2015 until July 2023, Reisig served as Library Director for the Sidney-Richland County Library in Sidney, Montana.
Reisig has roots in Nebraska. She is originally from Alliance, attended Chadron State College and
finished her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. "Serving as the Hastings Public Library Director is a dream come true,” she said. “My family can return to our home state and I have the opportunity to do the work I love."
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UNL, an MBA with dual specialization in
Nonprofit Management and Human Resources from Walden University and is a Society for
Human Resources Management Certified Professional.
Members of the Hastings City Council unanimously approved Reisig’s appointment during their
regular meeting on May 12.
