A Grand Island man is facing multiple charges after he took a man hostage earlier this spring.
27-year-old Tyler Manka is charged in Hall County District Court with felony charges of kidnapping, burglary, terroristic threats, escape when under arrest and three counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and obstructing a peace officer.
Manka pled not guilty to the charges. If convicted, he faces at least 70 years in prison.
He is scheduled to appear in Hall County District Court for a pretrial conference on Aug. 3rd.
A jury trial has been set for Sept. 7th.
